Remaining in Riga, and enjoying this lovely stayover. Most of the European colleagues have bussed, trained, or been driven to their destinations, and some (including moi) wait patiently for airspace restrictions to be lifted. I'm scheduled to head out on Saturday, and weŗe keeping an eye on cancellations.......
Itš a nice departure from the expected, though. I'm gathering lots of great experiences and collecting some memories that Iļl journal about with ambition. Also getting to take lots of great photos.
At the end of the day, I count the many blessings offered by the ash-instigated air travel chaos. I miss friends, family, hugs, and a familiar space, though. Also, relying on certainty of place and setting is a luxury whose comfort I won't soon forget.
