Allyson’s career reflects strategic philanthropy throughout North America and Europe. After managing the grants and endowment programs at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina), she then transitioned to a programming role at the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, also on the island.

She then received a fellowship at the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (New York, New York), where she examined the measurable outcomes of place-based philanthropy.  Soon after, she was invited to join the staff at Fondazione CRT (Torino, Italy) to build a venture philanthropy model for one of the largest foundations in country, establishing an innovative method of impact measurement and scalable project design.

Afterwards, she managed the activities of the Canadian-based Transatlantic Community Foundation Network at Community Foundations of Canada (Ottawa, Canada), where she supported the design of peer-to-peer educational programming for community foundation leaders from Eastern Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, North America, and South America.

Originally from South Carolina, Allyson is a member of Junior League, a graduate of the Hilton Head Island Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Program, and she also served on the Chamber’s Board of Regents.
