CLEMSON UNIVERSITY

Passion for Clemson University:  Clemson has always been “beyond the campus,” and I couldn’t have had so many academic and cultural opportunities elsewhere! Clemson University was (and still very much is!) the gateway to the world.  Clemson extended resources that allowed me to study, work, and live in a different country each year when I was a student.  As a result, I’ve lived on three continents, visited 26 countries, and worked in 28 cities since graduating.  As a student at Clemson, I was a student of the world – and that cultural curiosity has remained as a foundational part of my life.

Why serving the Clemson Black Alumni Council (CBAC) is important to me:   My Clemson Family is incredibly important to me, as mentors, friends, and professors at Clemson shaped my career choices and life experiences.  My involvement as a student was rooted in organizations that supported black students and faculty, and it’s a personal priority for me to be committed to a tradition of helping others through volunteerism, mentorship, and community building.

The value of CBAC to Clemson Alumni around the world:  In my mind, CBAC is all that each member contributes to it.  CBAC is a resource that Clemson alumni can tap into at any walk of life, and anywhere in the world.  We are a solid network of friends, peers, mentors, professionals, and teachers who can truly transform the lives of all that we know, and I am grateful to be a member!
