Coming out of the shadows



Been in Riga, Latvia for the past 3 days, and we've had a powerful meeting on poverty reductions (and the role that community foundations have).


We've learned that lil' ole Iceland has sneezed, and all of Europe has caught the cold. 17,000 flights across Europe were cancelled today alone. Hoping to travel to Istanbul soon...Riga airport is closed for now, though. Hope the backlog of flights will be managed well :)

Wow, Iceland. That is something. My father actually lived in Greenland for many years when I was a kid. Enjoy your travels.

A, if I was in Iceland, I'd find some place underground to hide!!!! I'm in Latvia, which is also under the airspace impacted by the big ole ash monster. Nice to be exploring a new corner of the world, tho :()

Oops, my bad. Latvia is a place I've never thought of visiting. It's definitely nice to explore other parts of the world.
